I’m Michelle Jaworski, a veteran entertainment journalist, a film and TV critic, and a knitter—and above all else, I’m a cinematic knitwear enthusiast.
With Knives Out’s debut in 2019, I married two of my interests and turned them into something of a beat. I’ve been trying to analyze movie knitwear—and report on the costume designers and knitters who make them and/or make them happen—ever since. Knit(ting) Flicks started out in 2022 as a place to chronicle my knitting, movies/TV, and the cinematic knits that my then-day job weren’t interested in me writing about.
As of now, every single post is free (and nothing is behind a paywall). But if you enjoy this newsletter and want to directly support my work, you can leave me a tip on Ko-Fi.
You can follow me on Bluesky, Letterboxd, Instagram, Threads, and Ravelry.
